Private message multiple or all users

Hi
I'm pretty new to concrete5 but I have managed to get through most of it without any issue.
One thing i havent been able to find though is a feature to allow a site admin to send private messages to multiple users or to all users. Like if i wanted to send a message to users about the site going down for maintainence or if something important is happening.
I'm currently doing a site for a hillwalking club and the admin would like to send private messages about upcoming events and doesnt want to use the emails of members as they are a work club and most users signed up with a work email accounts which will block these emails.
Is there an addon or a feature that is already available and I missed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think its possible without some custom coding today. are you comfortable with php?
I have to admit php wouldnt be my strongest area. I really dont think i could do thid myself.
