Problem with external Forms

i have a Problem with Images in the external form. All was fine in the Edit Mode, Images showed.
After the exit edit mode, Images don'd showed.
What's wrong. I have Version 5.3.3.1
In the Apache Log, i saw 404 Error for the gif file.
