Problem adding block with Chrome browser

This happens to me only in the chrome browser and only when adding any block but not editing an existing block. See the attached screenshots. 1. The add block menu never stops showing the animated circle gif image - 2. the block's popup window loads as a full page with no style

I don't think I touched any of the core files but could have inadvertently messed something up.

Any ideas where to look to find the problem?

If you have a custom skin or have built your own skin make sure that you have limited the scope of your css so that affect only your template. While it might not be the best solution at present, you can wrap your template in a division and then edit the css so that it references that division and its content only ie div#page ul.

If it only happens in chrome though it might very well be a bug of some kind. It would be strange though as last I checked chrome passes the acid 3 check.

I tried activating a couple pre-loaded CC5 themes and still had the same problem. But logged into another site and it worked fine.

I must have messed up one of the core files. I going to re-install and make sure I have the latest version
