Profile Page Custom Image Banner

Hello
I created a image user attribute where when users register they can upload their own banner image. Then i used user list to display the uploaded image.
My issue is that image resizes to the size that the profile avatar is set at. Is there any way to override that and get this image to display properly and not resize.
