Project ownership

Hi,

First I must say this is my first "custom" theme with C5, and I thank you very much for the support I got so far. Also, I'm aware there are few other posts like mine in the forum but I still don't understand what to do.

Here is the deal:

I bought flexslider in the marketplace. I had to connect my personal account with the community through c5 backend panel to link the plugin. That scares me alot.

I don't want to be set as the project "owner", because I'm not. I'm only the developer.

Second, if I remove my account link to the community from his site, will it remove the plugin license as well?

How can I be sure the client doesn't buy stuff with my credit card if my account is linked to the community?

Thank you very much in advance.

You need to get the client to open an account with c5. You can then list them as a developer on your account and transfer ownership to them, then remove the reference to them from your account.

This is not something I have done. However, there are some detailed explanation on the forum. Usually involving Julia (and maybe Frz), so searching on her posts would be a good way to narrow down the search. It may also be worth searching the howtos.

Thanks, I have done something similar.

I disconnected my account from the site, then created a community account for my customer. After connecting his community account to the site, I changed the ownership and added myself as a contributor.

What's awesome is I can leave the licenses for paid add-ons right where they are without being the owner.

It works perfectly now.
