Public Registration > Email Validation not working

I have enabled Public Registration, and required email validation, but it is not sending the confirmation email. I have tried 2 times now, but no email has arrived.

Actually, since I posted this, the problem has gone away.
I don't know what was going on, but it's not happening anymore.

Great. Might be your email server was slow, so all the emails got caught in traffic jam & was in queue.
