Putting external scripts on pages

How should I put a script on each page,and/or just on a single page? Something recurring I presume should be done on the THEME html itself....or page type? Please help. Thank you!

some a related to your layout - put them into header.php and they'll be included in all your templates..
page types use templates but not every page type must have its own template, you therefore can't put it into a page type
