Question about filesets

I have some galleries setup and filesets. I would like to show pictures from a different fileset in some galleries , is that possible ?

When creating a fileset , does the file set duplicate those images into a new folder ?

If I want to seect only 3 images from one fileset is that possible ? I am trying but it does not seem to work .... Many thanks

How to add images to the gallery is up to the add-on developer, but the easiest solution to your problem would be to add the images you want to another fileset since files can exist in more filesets than one.

So if you have images 1.jpg 2.jpg and 3.jpg in fileset 'numbers', and a.jpg, b.jpg and c.jpg in fileset 'characters', then you can't combine the two in one gallery (if the gallery only accepts images from one fileset).

So to display 1.jpg, 2.jpg and c.jpg in one gallery you should add them all to an additional fileset 'combined' (so the images are in two filesets). Then just use 'combined' as fileset in your gallery.

The files will not be duplicated at all, but will just have yet another attribute attached to them.
