Re-pointing www folder

I have an install of the latest version of Concrete5 on my site. I installed it in a sub folder called c5877. I now want to promote this to be the main site, instead of the current. In re-pointing the domain, I am getting odd css issues (i.e. it is not loading). I am not using pretty URL's and I have cleared cache.
I can see how to migrate the whole site, but since I am updating, this isn't right for me as the DB wouldn't match up, right?
Is there a better way to do this?

This seems to have settled down after around 10 mins. Is there anything else I can expect to go wrong that I am missing?
You should be good to go now. Just manually clear your cache or use command line to clear cache. Also check for any errors in your developer tools window.
