recovering site.php

Is there any way I can recover password and password_salt info for a site.php file? I inadvertently overwrote a file and now can't access the site. I've poked around in the database but didn't come across anything.
im not sure the salt ever changes .. you might be able to grab an old back up and replace it - other then that I don't think there is a way to regenerate the salt
It doesn't but its different for every installation obviously. I had overwritten it and had no idea what it was supposed to be.
I just wrapped up with chatting with a bluehost rep and I ended up getting the site backup pro and it was as simple as clicking down my site tree to the file I needed and clicking restore!

everything seems to work, but my dashboard hover does not pop up anymore now...

that hover issue comes and goes for me too .. but its not constant
tried everything to no avail, rebooted my pc and let it clean out and everything is fine. Weird how that works sometimes :)
