Removing MISER

I recently installed MISER on a slow c5 site in an effort to improve speed, however I am now looking to remove it as it's now caused all kinds of broken links and other strange errors.
I can't see any uninstallation instructions anywhere. I'd like to return the site to the state it was in prior to installing MISER.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Delete the files you added when you installed it.

view.php in your top level 'libraries' folder
miser.php and miser_support folder in your top level 'helpers' folder

Clear your cache.

I tried to remove MISER myself and I removed the files I added. My site then goes blank. Any suggestions on what to look for to fix the site? My site config file doesn't have anything in it related to MISER and I didn't make any other changes.

Thanks.

Unfortunately the only way I managed to fix it was to restore the site
from the backup I took before I installed MISER.

Ugh, bummer. I even use GIT version control, but the site still crashes when I try to revert back to an older commit prior to installing MISER (no idea why!)
