Removing Subfolder from URL
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi All!
Is there a way to remove the subfolder name from my URL?
Currently it looks like this:www.www.orlandobiblechurch.org/concrete5/...
I am wanting to chuck the concrete5 part. Would I have to do this in my hosting service? I asked them about this and they told me to move my site to a different folder. I am using Arvixe.

you should be able to do it through your webhosting control panel by pointing your url directly to that folder. If not, it should also be simple enough to manually move the site to the preferred directory via ftp!!
Currently I have it redirect to the concrete5 folder. Let me see if there is a way to point directly at the folder.
As you know, that only broke the site. Any other ideas?
are you able to revert the move and put the site back the way it was before you moved it??
edit: ok, i see that it already is !!

when you moved the site were you sure to change the DIR REL setting to blank in site.php ??
Uh, no. I don't even see anything like that in my site.php.
