RSS problems when trying to show feed from another page on my C5 site

This should be so simple!

- I add a "Page List" block to a page... say, "Blog" (I have tried others)
- In the form, I check, "Provide RSS Feed".
- I enter an RSS Feed title and RSS Feed description.
- I click save.
- I click on the RSS icon that appears at the bottom of the Page List and my browser opens a new tab, displaying the XML file. The URL looks like this:http://www.mydomain/index.php/tools/blocks/page_list/rss?bID=674&am...
- I subscribe to this RSS feed in Firefox and see it displayed with no errors.

So it would appear that I have a valid URL for my Blog page RSS feed.

Now I want to display that RSS feed on another Concrete5 page in the same site as my blog page. Seems like a reasonable thing to want to do and from all indications in the Documentation, this is possible.

- I add the "RSS Displayer" block to my page.
- I enter the RSS feed URL shown above into the Feed URL field.
- Accept all other defaults and add a dummy feed title "Test"... just in case.
- I click save.

The RSS displayer shows the following information:

Test
"Oops, it looks like you've entered an invalid feed address!"

I have tried this over and over and get the same results. In the same RSS Displayer block, I replaced the Feed URL with an external RSS feed and the block displays the feed list with no errors.

Obviously, there is something wrong with this process or my thinking. Would really appreciate some clarification on the subject.

Thank you very much.

Hi

I have recently read that there can be problems if the feed and the webpage requesting the feed are both on the same domain.

Could this be the problem?
