Saving Simple Data

Good People!

Does anyone know if C5 has a simple interface for saving simple data? For example, I am making a dashboard page which has a single text field which I would like to persist and it seems like setting up a database table is really overkill. Is there any API for such a thing?

I have searched the forums and Googled the internet but couldn't find anything.

Hi Alex,

Would setting up a field in Page Properties get the job done? I've done that on a few client sites that require us to update a single area for time to time.
