Scheduled Publishing - "Publish Pending" blue alert box will not go away

The scheduled/timed publishing tool works great, however there is an issue where the "Publish Pending" blue alert box that appears in the top right continues to display even after the scheduled change time and the changes have in fact been published properly.
Clicking "Publish Now" or the "X" to close the window doesn't seem to do anything either, after doing either, the alert box still persists.
Using v5.8 if that's relevant.
Is there something I am missing here or is this a bug? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Additionally: I should note that the only way I could get that "Publish Pending" blue alert box to go away is to make another change to the page and publish.
Take a look in the 'Permissions & Access' > 'Workflows' section and see if you have something waiting for you...
Or, in the 'Welcome' > 'Waiting For Me' section
Or, in the 'Welcome' > 'Waiting For Me' section
I checked System & Settings > Workflows and there doesn't appear to be anything there. Just says "0 Workflows"
Nothing appears to be waiting in either of those places either.
