Search Block shows ........

It seems as though the default search block shows "........" randomly throughout the description's on the search block. Is there a way to fix this?
I think it's because it shows portions of content that have the matching term, and if the term matches in multiple places in the content, it shows just a snippet of content that surrounds each term. I don't think there's an easy way to change it.
Thats a huge bummer, Kind of distracting to see all of those "....." in there. If anyone happens to know of a quick fix for this. I am more than interested.
