Search results shows hidden pages

I have my pages checked with Exclude from search index yet my pages are still showing in the search results. I have also run the update search index but this is still showing. Any ideas?
How did you check with Exclude from search index? You have to add it to your page properties and then go to the bottom of that page and check the box off then save. After that then rebuild the index search engine.
Hi I clicked the check box on the page exclude from search index but they still show. Actually I tryed msgluecks workaround from this thread and it has seemed to have worked.
