searching Attributes?

I've been playing around with attempting to do a Search on custom Attributes (adding a Category attribute) and I haven't been able to successfully do a search on them using either the Sitemap search or Search block.

I created a Category attribute under Pages and Themes --> Page Types and checked the "Yes, include this field in the search index." I then created some Select Values and used a value that isn't found in the any other page content (Apples).

I then added it to the Available Metadata Attributes for a specific Pagetype.

Afterward, I went to the Properties of a page that used that Pagetype and selected Apples for the Category attribute value.

I ran Search Indexing under the Maintenance tab and it appeared to run.

I haven't been able to do a Search on the standard Keywords META attributes either. Inserting a word that doesn't come up anywhere else (like tree) yields nothing.
Keywords are checked for indexing. It makes me think that certain attributes aren't really being indexed. Search does work when I look for words in Page path or description.

Has anyone else run across this issue or am I doing something wrong?

For this site, I'm using the latest version of concrete since it's hosted there so specs should be good.

I'll try testing it on some other hosting setups that are on the latest c5 version and the previous version to see if it works there.

By the way, my c5 site cache has also been disabled and cleared.

I didn't run the absolute latest beta, but nothing since the rev i checked out had anything to do with search so it shouldn't matter.

If you would, please post this to bugs for Andrew and team to look into as time permits, also you should sign up for beta, it is pretty nice to be able to run the bleeding edge :)
