Setting Permissions for Composer?
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hello --
I'd like members of my "Staff" group to be able to use the Composer page to create blog entries. I've set up the permissions so the group has access to some of the dashboard, and a member can get to the Drafts page. But when you try to click on "Write", it just pushes the user back to the Drafts page.
Am I missing something with the permissions setup?
Thanks so much!

I am just setting up a blog that I want my members to add to and had the same problem. I solved it by going into the full sitemap, opening the "options" section at the top right, clicking on "Show system pages", waiting for the full sitemap to reload and giving my member group view and edit permission for the Drafts pages and Composer pages in TWO places. I missed this the first time around.
The two places for Drafts are 1) under Dashboard and 2) under Drafts.
The two places for Composer are 1) under Dashboard and 2) under Page Types!
As soon as I enabled view and edit permission for all of these the problem went away!
Best of luck,
John.
