Showing blog post content rather than description C5.7

Iv new to C5 but am so far liking what it is capable of. There is one issue however that i cannot seem to resolve, despite the hours of googling and reading through similar issues.
Basically i have a blog set up, no issue there, what i am wanting is for the latest blog post to be shown on the home page BUT i want the actual blog content to show rather than the description. I don't want my client to have to input content twice.
I have set up a custom template for the page_list block and assigned the template to that page_list block, i just cannot work out what the code snippet is to pull the blog post content rather than the description.
If fine pulling the posts and showing the latest one etc and i know the theory of how it will work, i just cannot work out how to grab the actual page content rather than the description.
The site is using 5.7 so none of the plugins that could be used to resolve this will work.
