Showing custom data using Attributes
Permalink
I've been trying to find some entry level tutorials on understanding how to use attibutes to show custom data, etc, but can't find anything. I'm really not a programmer, more a themer. I would really like to be able to show data cstom data, images, files, etc when creating new pages, etc but don't know where to begin.
The only tutorials I've found are a little over my head. What would be a good resource to actually learn how do some of these things with what's available within the UI, as well as what files to edit.
thanks.

thanks, I've been to that site. but there's nothing there regarding using attributes. I thought that was one of the more powerful ways to show some custom data and there's nothing on C5's site that gives examples for non programmers, or i can't find it. If you think of anything i would appreciate it.
thanks.
thanks.

C5 could really use an area for all of the awesome guides that people have made for c5. If there was an area for this it would help a lot of people, and I for one would love to know where they all are.
Great site Chad thanks for making it.

thanks andrew. i had forgotten about that page, but had visited it before. that will be helpful since i need to understand overrides and single pages more.
i tend to be a visual learner. your old video of how to convert a simple html template was what got me started. i would like more videos like that, that addressed simple but powerful solutions for us picture people.
you and your team have done great work. i will try to duplicate what i learn from a designers perspective and make some screen casts if i am able. please don't forget some of your biggest users are not programmers.
thanks.

Thank you, that page has changed a bit since I last looked before the site redesign, and has really become a giant library of info. Thanks again.
chad thank you very much. as an iffy programmer, that will help me i think. I wish there were more tutorials that harnessed the power of c5 but was aimed more at designers. keep up the good work.
thanks.
thanks.
