Sorry but my background is in Coldfusion and designing front end ( graphics ) websites and I am trying desperately to learn everything Concrete5.
Looking for a simple demo/tutorial where a controller calls two different database tables and then displays ( view ) them from the related tables. i.e. one table holds events details another with events with dates for different blocks. Or simple drill down - example list of bands - drill down to band members etc.

I find that in Concrete5 there is so much going on under the hood ( saving / editing etc. ) that it's hard to dissect things for learning. Having overrides all over the place is also confusing for dissections for newbies. In applications that Iahave written in the past have drill down capabilities or querys of querys joining tables in databases. another example. - table with lists of products - joined to table of manufactures or Order details table pulling info from product tables etc.

Anyway I have read most beginner tutorials on block creations and the database MVC are a little too simple for me and then they seem to jump to extremely difficult to follow tutorials. Looking for intermediate ones I guess.
