Slow site again! Concrete5 version 5.6.2

Hi somebody help :-)

I've been testing this for days now..

- I've uninstalled addons
- Cleared the cache
- Turned off all the Cache in the dashboard
- Removed the - .htaccess from my theme folder
- tried adding andrews code: link:http://andrewembler.com/posts/5-easy-ways-to-speed-up-a-concrete5-s...

I just installed a fresh copy of Concrete5 5.6.2 whit out doing anything..its using the standard theme and i turned off all the Cache in the dashboard.

But its RUNNING SLOW, the page load is really a issue for me, I have a few others website that are also running slow, what is the problem? i've searched the Forums for answers but none of them are working. :-(

its on a good host located in denmark where im from. (Gigahost.dk)

The theme you're using is not the best for speed.

The main image alone is 336kb, I can reduce it to 82kb..

Shared servers can be a problem.

You need to optimise your sites, content, javascript and images.

Use mod_deflate in the .htaccess file to compress stuff.

Try using:http://www.webpagetest.org/

It will help working out what is wrong.

Note: The following requests are returning 404/410 responses. Either fix the broken links, or remove the references to the non-existent resources.

I can't recommend MISER highly enough -- significantly improves the page load speed of almost every site I've used it on. Free for non-commercial sites, modest fee for commercial sites (and worth every penny -- the author, @Phallanx, provides excellent support):

Hmmm.
I have a hunch (that is all it is at the moment).
Do things improve if you use the Plain Yoghurt theme?

Hi guys thx for you help, i still cant belive that a site is running slow, when its using the standard theme "Plain Yoghurt", is it my host or what's the deal?

Stranges i turned on the cache again and now its running faster..hmm

C5 is the best CMS i've tried, its very easy for clients and developers, so i hope the team fixs the issues people are having with slow C5 website.... coz CONCRETE5..... WE NEED U! :-)

Your site is using "Greek Yoghurt". The reason I asked you to switch to "Plain Yoghurt" is because there is a brief flash of the nav bar unstyled which may be an indicator to what is happening.
