Hi All!
Is there a way to divide a Main area? I know that this can be done by modifying the php of the theme, but I don't know PHP. Is there a simpler way?

Have you tried 'Add Layout'?
Add layout works great for here and there!! Just dont try to use it on any page type defaults. Last i knew the "design" was not passed from the defaults page to the new page upon creation. The "design" must be within a stack ;)

Layout can work with responsive designs, but generally they will end up looking a mess unless the users editing the site are familiar with how responsive design works.
Can you explain how to use a layout correctly with responsive themes?
I've found that typically with layouts, it's a matter of whether the blocks inside it are responsive or not. Most are, but a few are not. Just play around with it and you'll discover what works and what doesn't !!
