Stack With AutoNav - Used In Multiple Places

Permalink 3 users found helpful
Hi,

I've created a stack that holds an Autonav, all pretty basic, i've included this stack as the main menu across the top of the web page, but i have also tried using the same stack in the footer, when the stack is built in the footer the items seem to be repeated twice, any idea's why this might be as I don't seem to be able to figure it out?

Many thanks

I'm sure there is an obvious reason for this happening, just need someone to explain why the contents of the stack is being duplicated twice the second time I have used it on the same page?

Many thanks

I can confirm that this is an issue.
Apparently, you cannot use two auto-navs from a stack on the same page. The second auto-nav will be rendered with duplicate values, just as you describe.

In my case, I created a stack and an auto-nav within it. On adding this to a page (or page type), the following is shown:

- Home
- Who are we
- Products
- Contacts

When the same stack is added again on the page (or page type), the following is shown:

- Home
- Home
- Who are we
- Products
- Contacts
- Who are we
- Products
- Contacts

It seems like you just uncovered a bug. The advice I would give you to resolve this right away is to create another stack with another auto-nav (with the same settings as the first), I just tested it and it works.

Good luck!
