Stacks are not searchable

I have done some tests on a new 5.5.1 install and it would seem that if I use a stack with a content block in it and place it on a page.. then any words on that page do not come up in a standard search?
Has anyone seen a similar outcome?

I can neither confirm nor deny this. But I wonder if you have content in a stack and the stack is on lots of pages, would one want all of those pages to come up in search results? Perhaps because of this the lack of searching is intentional? (Just guessing here, I have no idea -- seems like there should be a setting added to the system for it if that's the case though).
