Start page password protected

Hi. Coming from another CMS and getting into Concrete5.7,
i'm looking for an option to password protect the entry/start
page for a client project. At present the site has the "build"
status and i'd like the client to be able to play around with
what is there already. Any idea? I could'nt find any Add-On
for Concrete 5.7.

Many regards, Chris

I did a deeper research and found several "permission per page" tips,
which seems a starting point especially for a one page layout design.

Is there also an "permission-per-site" option? (including several pages)

Also: A screencast about "how-to-create-a-client-area" provides infos.

For C5.6 there is a "Page Password" add-on:

Also this:

I don't know if that all helps with the simple plan for a client "LogIn" to
reach the page content which is curently off for maintenance. (I'm not
thinking about the admin logIn to the main c5 editor.. that's for shure :-)

The easiest thing would probably to disallow guest access and allow registered users by using permissions.

Hi, thanks for the info. I think the "Under Construction" add-on
will fit for what i have in mind. To be honest i'ven't done much
with permissions yet, but then why setting up permissions for
USERS which maybe won't get back to me at all. It seems to
be a different approach what i think about (cold call approach).
