Sub categories on inside pages

I am very new to Concrete. Just installed it and am not techy at all. I am learning how to set up the menus and sub menus (I think that is what they are called). I see them on the top which is fine. I want to set up a page list of the sub categories on the inside pages only. So when someone clicks on the main menus at the top and goes to the page, I want the pages, other than the homepage, to have the sub menus listed. Is this possible? Thank you.

You can do do a couple of things
1. Your navigation should be editable. So click the menu, choose edit, and then play around with your variables. Choose something like 'current level' etc... And see if that gets you what you want.
2. You can put an auto-nav block anywhere on your pages. So leave the top level menu just as it is (most people want there top level pages available from anywhere in the site); and add an autonav block to your sidebar and configure it to get the desire you want. This is probably your best (and most common/useful option.)
3. You could use the page list block to display links to pages around your site or from underneath a particular page but is kind of the long way approach to what you are trying to do.

Hope that helps.

To clarify cannonf700's advice -- what you want to do is add an autonav block to the sidebar on your subpages and when you add the block, set the "Display Pages" option to "at the current level".

If you have a lot of pages in your site and don't want to have to add this block every time you add a new page, you can put it in the Page Defaults (go to the Dashboard, click Pages and Themes in the left sidebar, click the Page Types up near the top in grey, then click the "Defaults" button next to the page type that you're using for the subpages (probably right_sidebar or left_sidebar, but depends on the theme you're using).

Hope that helps.
