Sub categories on inside pages
PermalinkIf you have a lot of pages in your site and don't want to have to add this block every time you add a new page, you can put it in the Page Defaults (go to the Dashboard, click Pages and Themes in the left sidebar, click the Page Types up near the top in grey, then click the "Defaults" button next to the page type that you're using for the subpages (probably right_sidebar or left_sidebar, but depends on the theme you're using).
Hope that helps.
1. Your navigation should be editable. So click the menu, choose edit, and then play around with your variables. Choose something like 'current level' etc... And see if that gets you what you want.
2. You can put an auto-nav block anywhere on your pages. So leave the top level menu just as it is (most people want there top level pages available from anywhere in the site); and add an autonav block to your sidebar and configure it to get the desire you want. This is probably your best (and most common/useful option.)
3. You could use the page list block to display links to pages around your site or from underneath a particular page but is kind of the long way approach to what you are trying to do.
Hope that helps.
