subscribe to new content via email

Is there currently a way for users in certain groups to get notifications when new content is posted to certain sections of a c5 site? For example, can an email be sent to an entire group every time a new blog post is published? Another useful feature would be what I see below - "Monitor this Post". Is that available as an add-on to C5?

Thanks for the help - i'm very new to this CMS but it seems great!

There is a simple addon in the MP lineup which will hopefully work for you.

It sends emails to registered site users.

Also you might want to take a look at the mailing list addon.

I'd love to know how others have handled this as well. As far as I can tell, the mailing list add-ons don't send out emails when new blog posts are created. It's a bit odd to have the person posting copy a ton of addresses into a new email each time he/she creates a new post.

Are there any examples or add-ons that perform this functionality?
