Superfish customization + how to embed in template?

2 Questions: 1. How can I embed superfish in my template so that whenever I create a new page, the menu will already be added when I select the template rather than having to edit the page and add the menu to every new page?

2. How can I customize the look?
• I would like the letters to change color when hovered on, not the background color.
• I would like the dropdown panels to be brown with white text while the main navigation is white with brown text.
• I'd like to remove the shadow

For comparison, see the site I'm working on... compare the top menu (non-Superfish) to the thing I stuck in there on the bottom (Superfish):

I'd like the Superfish to look more like the top.

WOAH, I think I didn't need to buy Superfish afterall. This seems to be satisfying all my needs and looks very easy to customize since it's just CSS!

Oh well. What's $15, really?

Autonav is pretty amazing, guys. Breadcrumbs and dropdowns and everything all in one? WOW!

Concrete5 ROCKS!!!!!!

Er um, actually there is somethng I don't like about the CSS autonav alternative.

So, if anyone knows how to address those issues on Suckerfish, I'd be very appreciative.

Nate... I just checked your website... how did you eventually solve your menu problem... it looks great.

Also, do you know how to make the entire menu (top level AND dropdown) background TOTALLY transparent?).. ESPECIALLY if its just in AutoNav?

I bought superfish... but I'm not a HUGE fan of its limited controls

For now, I just stylized "chromemenu" to my liking which I got off DynamicDrive.com ... It's not a great solution because I have to hard-code all the links to a specific page; it is not dynamic.

Eventually, I will try to use the files that someone sent me in the support forum. Check out the second-to-last post of this thread to get the files:

Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to either use Superfish, or do it on my own (and I am a TOTAL css noob) to do THIS menu, but without the image.

If I weren't already bald, I think I would be by now, anyway!
