I do not understand this site at all. Either i'm missing something, or i'm too stupid to see it for myself. Where is my website with the addons i've already added? I clicked on the link that takes me to my 'private' site, and it just takes me to the page that i got when i first signed up for C5.

You've created your website and you loaded the default website -- which is a skeleton site with about 5 pages.
If this is your first install, then that is a great place to start. I'd advise you not to try to create a finished site fresh out of the gate. Get to know how C5 works, the different ways that you can use the tools, and your own development approach.
At the bottom of the page, on the right hand side, you'll see a "sign in" prompt. Use the admin password that you set when you created the site. Then, you'll be able to modify the blocks on the various pages -- and you're on your way.

No idea where you are at in your web building process but:
Does your view change when you login to your site (there are two login links I see on your page)? If it looks different, then you didn't select "Publish" to save you edits to the page.
With more details of what you've done, we'd be able to offer more help about how to progress.
