Template Changes Only Showing in Admin View
Permalink 1 user found helpful
I have modified the "page footer" and the "sitewide footer." My changes are saved and look fine in admin view, but only "some" of the changes are there in guest view and in logged in viewer (non-admin) view.
WHY?
Screengrabs attached.

MrKDilkington, thank you so much for your reply!
That's not it. I cleared the cache and still see the same things.

@doccarter
Does this happen on every page?
Have you changed any of the site permission settings?
What is the address of your website?

Hi,
Yep. Desparate situation for me too....Exactly the same problems.
No sitewide areas are returning data - when logged in as an admin they are fine, for the viewing public nothing - which is a major issue as this means no menu, no contact details, no logo.
:(
Anyone got any ideas?

@corebsp
If you create a temporary admin account for me on the server, I can take a look.

Could be a bug?
I have a local site that is doing the same thing?
Everything is as it should be while logged in, but wrong when logged out?
BTW: Same as your site using 5.7.5.4, 5.7.5.3 is fine.

Ive got the answer....
Sitewide data must be approved separately from pages. Publishing and approving a page does not include any global changes made.
Go to Dashboard, Stacks & Blocks, drop down top right - View Global Areas
Go into each of the Global Areas in turn, there will be a big blue button on the top(ish) right. Click Approve!
Job done. Public can now see the modified data.

Have you tried clearing your site cache?
Dashboard > System & Settings > Optimization > Clear Cache
While designing your site, it is recommending to disable site caching.
Dashboard > System & Settings > Optimization > Cache & Speed Settings
