The Mystery of the Missing Dot
Permalink
I am trying to save a bit of SEO on a site that has recently been converted to C5.
When I try and add an old URL into Page Properties/Page Paths and Location a very odd thing happens.
Example; after saving /contact.html for the old link and revisiting the Page Properties/Page Paths and Location the dot has disappeared and now looks like /contacthtml see attached image to see what I mean.
The old link is not forwarded to the new page so Google are having a merry time looking at 404's :(
Any advice or suggestion greatly appreciated.
Sorry forgot to add, it's a 5.6.0.2 and caches have been cleared.

Hi John
I had a look and a go with the first link but with no joy, not sure it was the right solution for my problem.
The second link would probably work but why would this feature that worked so well in all older versions of C5 now in 5.6.0.2 decide to mess about?
It's a bug for me so will raise is as one now I have seen it happen on two sites.
Thanks as ever for your help.
