Theme screwed up?

Hi there!
First off: I am not expierienced with concrete, but a bit with php, mysql and javascript.

I have quite the strange problem right now: I try to setup up a sitewide menu + a slideshow beneath. My reason is that I don't wanna load and restart the slideshow with every page loaded. And the menu above is just an aesthetic thingy.

My problem is, that if I put auto-navs or slideshows in the sitewide block there seem to remain "shadows": Block appear in preview and published state although they are not present in edit-mode.

Anyone expierienced that before?

Thx for all answers!

Edit: For example right now. By clicking on this link you will see the slideshow. Click one more on home and the slideshow is gone:

http://freiewelten.org/foto/index.php?cID=1...

It shows up on the version desplaying the image but deleting won't help since this action does not seem to be saved.

Edit2: After 1hour of puzzeling around I found a workaround: I did not delete the block but moved it to the content block. Then I was able to delete it permanently... odd behaviour, isn't it? What went wrong? Could anone imagine?

Have you tried adding the slideshow to the page defaults of the page type you are using?

If you want to try this, go to the Dashboard, then go to Page Types. It looks like you are using Left Sidebar. If you take a look at the page types it lists, you should see Left Sidebar. Look over toward the right and you should see a button labeled Defaults. Go there. Now all you have to do is enter edit mode and add the slideshow block.

Be aware that whatever you put on here will be on every single page if that page type.
