track content change

In the future our web site may have several people maintaining the site. Is there a way of logging who made what changes and when?

yes, that's already built into the versioning system.

If you put a page in edit mode, you should see a 'Versions' tab at the top, or from the site map, if you click on a page and choose versions you can see who edited the page over time.

Thanks a million. I had noticed the versions but hadn't realized how this could be used for what I want to do.
I was trying out various CMS software and I dumped one when I posted a question and received no reply. We'll go live with Concrete5 in a few days.
