Transitioning test site to live site

An obvious newbie here. I built a test site and now want to go live on a different url, but am not clear on the process.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I use machighway as a host and just want to move the test site to an active domain on my server. MacHighway has disabled the file manager in cpanel, so I am using Cyberduck for FTP.

Is there a simpler way to accomplish this goal?

When did they do that? I just fixed some issues with someone on this forum who uses MacHighway about 3 days ago. I logged in via Cpanel to his. Didn't notice they disabled FTP. I use Filezilla for all my FTP stuff or SSH.

Is the domain name you wanting to transfer to have hosting space on the same server with MacHighway? Or is it a completely different hosting company/server?

And in regards to moving it...you have to follow those instructions. It's not all that difficult. I recommend reading the instructions fully before you do it...then follow the steps as you go through the process.
