Tutsplus Course on Concrete5, only $15

For anyone interested, I just found this Course on Concrete5 on Tutsplus, and it's only $15

I can't say I'm recommending it because I haven't taken it. If anyone does take it, I'm sure others would appreciate any feedback.

I haven't taken it either but having enjoyed many of the completely free training videos from the Concrete5 core team that are available on YouTube my first question would be what is covered that is not available freely already? That being said for $15, maybe it doesn't matter so much. But do checkout all the free videos from C5 core and other developers who have many tutorials, not to mention all the free How To's. I understand sometimes it is worthwhile to pay for a course but personally I'd only pay for one on a very specialized advanced topic and even then only if I wanted some hands-on instructor support. Because there really isn't a topic on C5 or anything else that isn't covered to some degree for free. You could get a unofficial master degree in social engineering with a minor in rocket ship programming if you run enough Google searches.
Yes there is an abundance of training right here on concrete5.org, as well as on the websites of many of the add-on and theme developers. I just wanted to make people aware of a this new training, without judgement. People can decide for themselves what's right for them.
I just looked at this course at the URL link given. I watched the first video and while the instructor is quite eloquent, he speaks with a heavy UK-English accent. I would only pay for a course, though, if the instructor was available to answer any questions I have and there will be questions.
The subject matter is listed in outline form on the web page. This course is a pre-recorded video presentation and it looks like it's at a level that would only benefit an absolute newbie that is looking for someone to lead them into how to set up, use, and administer c5. This level of understanding is quite available here by just going through the documentation.
I am personally, as a developer, looking for a training program that would take me into the depths of c5 at the coding level and give me the same complete understanding of c5 as the core developers have. I am now in c5's on-line courses but it's not giving me a complete understanding of the total c5 package.
I would like to find a course that would start with the dispatcher as an outline and give a complete explanation of what is going on step by step, as it walks through the dispatcher, right down to the code and what files it resides in. I've been trying to follow this myself but c5 is such a mammoth package that it's impossible to follow by to any depth. My goal is not to rewrite or change anything that the core developers have done but I do have some issues from time to time about what c5 is doing. I need enough understanding at code level about how c5 does things to be able to get around these problems.

My free Quick Stack View addon can be used to get php stack dumps at various points of the rendering process. You still need to mess with code, but it can help to see how things connect together.
