Two questions: 404 page not working and if page is expired, then would like to redirect to another url

Question 1:
I'm using advanced permissions. When a published page is no longer viewable to the Guest (because Guest view date has expired), the user gets redirected to the login page. Shouldn't this automatically redirect to the 404 error page? How can I fix this to redirect to the 404 error page?
Question 2:
I have 'PageA" on my site that I would like to automatically redirect to 'PageB' only when 'PageA' is no longer viewable to the Guest. When we make a page viewable to the Guest we always use an expiration date.
