Unable to connect to database

i am trying to create script for the sample connection to the database then it works.

and when im trying to install concrete5
i could not install and im getting this error
"Unable to connect to database."

my host : localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock

please help me

is that what you are putting in the hostname field? just put localhost
