Understanding the member profile section - how to add page_list and autonav blocks

Hi There,
I've started setting up my member profile page but am having trouble getting pages to display using the autonav and page_list blocks.
The page_list block seems to display more of the pages in the Profile section and the auto_nav only displays "Order history"
Is there a trick to getting them to display?
