Update from 5.6 to 5.7

Has anyone come up with a sensible way of going from 5.6 to 5.7 that doesn't take a whole heap of time? I can't seem to get my head around what we're supposed to do...I have a number of sites in 5.6 that I would like on 5.7 but I haven't the time to completely re-build them. Any ideas anyone I can't be the only one in this position!

There have been so many changes, that it is not possible to do a click-click et voila, you've converted from 5.6 to 5.7. As far as I know, the core team won't be working on a conversion tool, although I did read others were trying to/going to programm a thing where you can at least convert some of your stuff over. I do think it's not possible to do a 100% conversion, seeing i.e. the eCommerce is not there and coding is just completely different.

What sites do you have in the first place? Do you use only "core" block types/add-ons or do you have other stuff?

There is discussion on GitHub regarding this.

"Import & Export Updates. Content Migration and Import Overhaul for 5.6 & 5.7"
https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/issues/1991...

It could be a while before tools are in place for updating. In the meantime, many have made the argument that there should be no rush to update a stable working 5.6 site to 5.7.
