Updating Nivo slider from 2.3

Hello,
I'm trying to help a friend make his website responsive. All is going fine in regards to code however I noticed that the slider is currently Nivo version 2.3. This slider is not responsive. The current version of Nivo is responsive but updating the main JS file causes strange issues. Is there a quick way to update Nivo that the community may know of.
