Updating "Set-up Child Pages" list in Page Defaults
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi C5 Crew,
I am curious about why I can see old pages in the set up child pages list.
I have removed all my old versions and deleted those pages from sitemap. I have also cleared the cache and run the Index Search Engine and Generate Sitemap jobs but when I edit page defaults they still remain.
It is not a big issue at the moment as it is on a test site but I would like to know why these are still in the list because this could become an admin nightmare if all old pages remain in the page defaults list!
Attached is screenshot of my full sitemap and what i see when i edit page defaults on child pages despite trying to clean it all up...
I am probably missing something so please enlighten me ;)

Got it!
Its because the items are still in trash.
So if any finds themselves in this situation do the following;
1. Go to Full Site Map
2. Show System Pages
3. Locate Trash and select "empty trash" (See Attached image)
Voila.
I am curious as to why this behaves like this though...
I personally think that if I have deleted an item it should not be in child pages list so if one of you C5 gurus can explain the logic behind this that would be great.
