Uploading files in Background?

Is there a way to upload images to the file manager in the background so you are able to still work/manage the site?
Not 100% sure what you mean, but when editing a site I often have two windows open, one for the Dashboard stuff like File Manager or Site Map, and the other for the on-page editing stuff. You can be signed in under the same account on the same browser or on different browsers, or signed in on one and not on the other. Does that help you?
