*URGENT* Users Cannot Login on IE

Just rebuilt an old site in C5. It's running 5.6.2.1

This site has several hundred users in the medical industry, thus, they're all on Internet Explorer.

NOBODY can login.

This is NOT a username/password issue.

Users do not get any error messages at all. Upon logging in, they're taken back to the homepage, but not actually logged in.

I get the same results trying to login as the Super User. I'm taken back to the homepage, but not edit bar shows up.

If I intentionally use the wrong password, then I get a password error.

I have the site setup to use email as login. I've tried both emails and usernames. Both result in the same issue. No error, but no login.

I recall that C5 had this same issue back in 5.4.x, but I thought it was resolved.

This is the first I've seen this in a long time.

It's a major issue for this site because EVERY user is on IE and they cannot install a different browser.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

What happens if you refresh your browser after logging in?
Does the edit bar show then?

Try adjusting the privacy settings for IE. I've seen that come up a few times as the cause of this issue.

Done the browser refresh several times, also after logging in.

Cleared the C5 cache several times.

Cleared the browser cache several times.

Changing the IE privacy settings does nothing either.

Thanks. That thread seems to outline the problem we're having.

Though I'm fairly certain most users for this site are not on IE10.

Likely IE 8 or 9 on the hospital IT domain.

Looks like the issue was the base_url setting in the config file.

The www version of the site would not take the login, but the non-www version would.

Very weird. Never had this issue on any other website.
