URL HTTPS Red X - image http URLS??

Added a SSL Cert on an ecommerce site (BlueHost Comodo SSL,) and added force SSL .htaccess script.

This is probably elementary to most, but I cannot fix the Google URL Red X, or Firefox issuing a warning.

Suspect this may be links on the page or that file manager adds HTTP to the URL of images.

Hoping I can get some help on this. How can I identify all the related Red X issues, and how can I fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim

The quickest way is to pull up the source(in firefox its CTRL+U) and just CTRL+F search for http://. Also click on all the css files and do the same thing. That said there could be something else going instead. Like if your javascript calls are going to external http sites(like the Google CDN) or something else altogether. If you could post the full cert warning(with domain removed) I could try to give you a little more info.

I've seen this myself with the concrete css helper inserting http

Mkly,
Thanks much for offering your support. Been working at this one since 6AM EST this morning. As you suggested, have been searching for the http’s, but really don’t know which references are really the cause. Have several http URL links, and all of the images accessed from the file manager are http. I am not exactly sure what to attack. If you want to take a gander, I will PM you the address and password. Seems like every time I think this site is near completion, I stumble onto another can-of-worms!

Are you using the core commerce "Enable SSL for checkout"?

No, Should I?

In my experience this is typically what to do instead of using .htaccess to force all connections to ssl or whatnot. Lets start with that and then start getting the images etc. I have some ideas, but we should start with that.

That appears to have worked somewhat, initially turns green and then tagged yellow in checkout

I just looked at all the way through to the "Billing Information" page and I'm still green

Which page are you getting it on. And this is more likely to show up on chrome than firefox although I tested both ok up to this point.

Let me first say I am 900% better than 10 minutes ago! Getting yellow on Chrome through all checkout pages, cleared browser and as a registered user.

That's what I expected. I'm curious if you adding a different item possibly. Or that you have an older cached file. Could you tell me which item you are adding? like the name and I can search for it?

Did a few, but P1101 Brass Lab Bookends in the home page slider is one.

Hmmm... honestly I'm not sure. Sometimes I go through and I get it. Other times I don't with the same product.

Mike,
After struggling with the Chrome yellow lock in checkout for another 8 hours, researching solutions and removing http references, I finally decided (dummy) to check a dozen other secure sites and found they all showed yellow!

I have found that for some reason this situation is only occurring on my main system. There is no problem in showing green on my other Windows7 and XP PC’s! Apparently, even though I have fully cleared Chrome and rechecked settings on my development PC, it insists on showing yellow.

I should have figured this out when you said you were showing green! Thanks Again, Tim

Removed the Mojo link at the bottom (same server) and the only http links left are the ones linking to the same site.

Mike, Thanks greatly, certainly a great distance ahead and much more manageable prior to your terrific help! Possibly another has had the same issue as it sits now, and can share. But you have certainly given the best answer (and a chunk of your time) in overcoming the biggest hurdle! Tim
