Values of a Select Page Attribute disappear after editing the value list

Hello,
Yesterday I had a strange and scary experience when editing my website:
I have a page attribute of type select with about 350 values. When I create page and add a value for this attribute it works quite well. But yesterday i used the dashboard to edit the values directly. I deleted one value and added a new value. After saving, there suddenly where ony about 300 values left!! Does anybody know how this can happen?
Fortunatly i had a backup and restored the tables atSelectOptions and atSelectOptionsSelected and then everything was fine again.
I don't know if this is a bug in c5, but for me it means, i cannot edit the select attribute values with the dashboard...
Perhaps somebody can give me a hint, what there could be wrong.
