Video Gallery in Concrete 5

Hello all there,

Another query, need help from you all. I have a gallery section in my new website that divided into video and image. I have configured image gallery successfully. But I dont have any clue how to make a video gallery which has thumbnails.

Is there any built - in add on ??

I think I have to create a new page for each video, then list this using a page block. But is there any easy way out??

The closest thing I can think of would be to use Vimeo or YouTube to host your videos, and use one of these FREE blocks:

http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/vimeo-gallery1/...
- OR -

Hope this helps.

thank you for the fast response. I was thinking same alike, so if I need to use the videos I hosted in the server, then I have to use the page list, no other way. Well, it works at least, so its ok for me.

sad news, the youtube gallery block is not compatible with the latest version of concrete 5.

You may want to contact the developer of the YouTube Gallery addon, as they may not be aware that their addon is outdated. I'm sure it would work fine with the latest version, but it appears that some details about it need to be updated.

ProMediaPlayer should do the trick. It has a nice internal/external video parser with a thumbnail option, and then a dashboard management page in your files area.

Agreed. ProMedia would be ideal if you're hosting your own media files.
