Vivid Store Error on Cart / Check out Page "Call to a member function display() on null"

Both cart and checkout pages are returning this error - any ideas why? I have guest checkout enabled as "always". Thanks

EDIT: When I installed the package I had site access restricted to admin only - do you think this may have cause something to happen?

I checked logs (duh) and the error was in my view.php wrapper - I had been using a boilerplate one and the code was wrong for this version.
