What happened to the FedEx shipping add-on?

Is the Fedex shipping add-on for eCom no longer supported by FedEx? What are the alternative add-ons if shipping must be by FedEx?

You can set up shipping rules to emulate the tables published by any shipping agent with my Zone Based Shipping addon.

As an advisory, most eCommerce sites only need to set up the parts of a shipping agent's tables relevant to their specific shop and customer base.

The developer decided to remove all his addons from the concrete5 marketplace.

I am trying to port the fedex package to a new site and I can't do it as it is pulled from the C5 marketplace. Can I copy the code and manually place and activate it on the new site? Suggestions on how?

While it isn't on c5.org any more, the developer still owns the copyright to the code. So you will need their permission to use it.
